CBN Discharges Another $367 Million To Take care of Forex Demand.

The Central Bank of Nigeria on Monday said it had released another 367 million dollars to commercial banks as it finally seeks to ease pressure on the naira.

At least a billion dollars has been released since the start of the new policy, the apex bank said.

The bank’s Acting Director in charge of Corporate Communications, Isaac Okorafor, said on Monday that CBN is determined to ease the foreign exchange pressure on various economic sectors.

Since it began releasing enough money to the banks, the naira has regained some strength against the dollar and the pound, but still remains far below its value this time last year.
